Education International brings hope and effective strategies to curb child labour
NewsThanks to an Education International project on child labour, working with union members and their local communities, 1,880 children were brought back to school last year in six participating countries: Burundi, Malawi, Mali, Togo, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.

Togo: Union campaigns to ensure education remains a priority
NewsFESEN, Education International’s member organisation in Togo, is working to identify ways of increasing public funding for education. The union organised a diagnostic and planning workshop during which education unionists drew up an action plan for implementing the goals of the Go Public! Fund Education campaign during 2025.

Following the successful implementation of a project against child labour in Kazaboua (Central region) in 2019-2020, FESEN is developing a child labour free zone in the Tchébébé, Adjengré and Aouda communes (also in Central region).
